Sony Electronics has an HD film camera – it’s a 3D HD film camera, called the Bloggie. Sony held their official CES press conference about, Bloggie 3D which displays media via a 2.4-inch 3D LCD screen without glasses, or with glasses on any 3D-capable television via HDMI connection. The video which is captured in 1920×1080 high-definition 3D, as well as the 2D MP4 videos and five-megapixel still photos are all recorded via two lenses and sensors.

SonyHandycam NXCAM

Sony has recently made an announcement that it will launch its new NXCAM handycam  which will come along with E-Mount Lens. As per Sony they are presently developing this gadget keeping in mind the requirements of the professional user.This latest  NXCAM handycam   will support E Mount interchangeable lenses and will feature Super 35mm equivalent large format CMOS sensor. The E Mount interchangeable lens system in this device will be similar to that of the ? series of NEX-5, 3 and the NEX-VG10 handycam. The E mount lenses of these handycam will be compatible with the latest NXCAM handycam as well.The new professional handycam is also expected to provide support to 1080p( 60p/30p/24p or 50p/25p) of recording modes with an option of MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 for enhanced experience. Thus if you wish to enjoy the high end digital cinema production then you will have to wait for the new NXCAM handycam   with E mount which is expected to be available in the market  in the middle of the year 2011.

Magellan eXplorist Pro 10

Magellan intends to make another entry into the GIS market with their latest device, the eXplorist Pro 10. Just what is the Magellan eXplorist Pro 10 made out of? For starters, it has been described to be a “rugged, lightweight and waterproof GPS handheld device” that was specially designed for GPS/GIS data collection. Among that hardware specifications of the eXplorist Pro 10 would be a vibrant 3″ WQVGA transflective color touchscreen display, coupled with a 533MHz processor and 128MB RAM – where all of it combined is more than enough to deliver the relevant power required to work with maps and large data sets in a compact-handheld form factor.As for other hardware specifications, the eXplorist Pro 10 will also be equipped with 4GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded to a cool 32GB as long as you slot in a microSD memory card. This would go some way in enabling large data sets including aerial photos so that they can be loaded in a jiffy.

Nokia X7 set to rock and roll

Nokia’s market share when it comes to cell phones and smartphones might be declining at an alarming rate (the huge war over the smartphone arena has certainly heated up, with so many players entering the fray, and nobody giving Symbian any love), but that doesn’t mean the Finnish cell phone manufacturer is throwing in the towel. No sir, in fact, they have just announced their every intention of staying till the end with the Nokia X7′s announcement.The Nokia X7 will come in a candybar form factor with a generous amount of footprint dedicated to its touchscreen display so that it will be able to keep up with the times (and the Joneses, in terms of physical design anyways). I think that this closely resembles that of the Sony Ericsson Xperia range.

After the highly successful model Canon PowerShot SX20 launched in 2009, Canon has brought out its successor to take things to the next level. The Canon PowerShot SX30 IS we received for review has everything that its predecessor had; raised CCD sensor resolution of 14 MP from 12 MP, with RAW handled by the same DIGIC 4 image processor, optical zoom has been increased from 35X from 20X, 2.7-inch swivel LCD screen is better than the 2.5-inch screen of its predecessor, and optical image stabilization. It features the same 720p with stereo sound movie recording capability as its predecessor, but with some additional effects, thus far available only in the still image mode.

Smart snapper: The Canon IXUS 300

The latest high end digital camera on offer is from Canon's stable- the IXUS 300 HS.The 300 HS box pack contains the digicam, the lithium ion battery, the battery charger with power cable, video cable (but no HDMI cable), the wrist strap and the software CD. No HDMI cable is provided, so that will have to be purchased separately. Also, currently, Canon offers a 4GB SD card with the package.The specs of the IXUS 300 HS do look really good, at least on paper- 10 Megapixels, paired with 3.8x zoom and the capability of recording 720p video. since that is not something I can say for a lot of the snappers out there. HD video recording is a feature which should entice a lot of potential buyers.

Vivitek D530 projector

Even though the world is looking forward to the High Definition (HD) television and movie viewing experiences, there are lot's of projectors available in the market which are not HD capable. And still, they are selling well. Why? Probably the price. At a price of Rs 38,000 for the projectors, people are enticed by the ability to blow up the videos to anywhere between 40 inches and 120 inches on the wall.The Vivitek D530 projector is one such projector. Is it good enough? The D530 comes with the VGA cable, remote control, carry case and some warranty and usage information. Dressed in white color, the D530 looks really classy. the control buttons are on the top panel. There are the vents and the speakers taking up the two sides, while all input controls are on the rear panel.it a good buy for someone who doesn't want HD but just a big screen movie experience.
